Career Planning

Explore and research career options or find employment using Career Cruising. This site allows you take an assessment to match your skills and interests to careers as well as provides thorough information your career matches.  You can research Colleges and Universities from across the country, check out undergraduate and graduate programs, and research scholarships to help get you into those programs! Need help finding a job instead? No problem, create a resume and apply for employment with companies from across the country.

LinkedIn Learning with Lynda.com online training library is a massive online training resource where patrons are able to learn — self-paced and on-demand content. Learn business, software, technology and creative skills with online video tutorials taught by recognized industry professionals. Finish a course and receive a certificate of completion that you can download or email to anyone.

Need to learn a new language to better communicate with a potential client and close that deal? With more than 70 world languages and dialects available, Mango is the next best way of picking up a new language outside of a classroom.  Study the language or languages of your choosing at your own pace.  Aside from learning a new language using proven methodology, Mango also allows you to learn cultural insights and nuances from native speakers.

Applied Digital Skills

Learn practical digital skills using Google's free project-based video curriculum.

Digitallearn.org is an online learning platform provided by the Public Library Association (PLA). Choose from a variety of video-based lessons and practice skills ranging from avoiding online scams to applying for jobs online. Nearly all modules are available in Spanish, as well as English. The portal also links to tools and resources (e.g., slide templates, activity sheets, and other planning documents) for trainers.
