Lawyers and Libraries: Employment Law with Natalie Blackman

Monday, October 26, 2020  at 12:00 PM

The Ascension Parish Library, in partnership with the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) and the Louisiana Library Association (LLA), hosted the Lawyers and Libraries program from October 26-31, 2020. This year, due to COVID-19, we held online Lawyers and Libraries events to provide virtual access to individuals who may be in even more need of legal direction due to the current health crisis.

Volunteer attorneys provided free presentations on the following dates and topics: October 26 at 12 noon Natalie Blackman presented Employment Law; October 28 at 12 noon Hannah Adams presented Housing and Evictions; and October 30 at 12 noon Tiffany Monroe presented Wills and Successions. To view these past discussions, visit the library’s Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/myaplibrary or visit www.LouisianaLawyersinLibraries.org

The Lawyers in Libraries program is part of a larger LSBA initiative called the Legal Education and Assistance Program (LEAP) which provides free helpful information to the public via public libraries.
